A Celebration of Czech Heritage

  • Bohemian National Hall 321 East 73rd Street New York, NY, 10021 United States (map)

A co-presentation of Musica Viva NY and the Dvořák American Heritage Association

Musica Viva NY returns to Bohemian National Hall in its second collaboration with the Dvořák American Heritage Society, to present the award-winning Aeolus Quartet in concert.

As quartet-in-residence with Musica Viva NY, Aeolus Quartet will perform a program of Czech masterworks, including Antonin Dvořák’s Piano Quintet, in collaboration with MVNY’s Artistic Director, Alejandro Hernandez-Valdez. The program will also include a selection of Dvořák’s love songs, reimagined for string quartet by the composer, as well as a colorful set of international dance pieces by Erwin Schulhoff.

The performance takes place in the beautiful Bohemian National Hall. Built in 1896, and reopened in 2008 after extensive renovations, the Bohemian National Hall was named a landmark by the New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission in 1994.
